Joy is an executive leader, organizational development authority, safety activist, accomplished TEDx speaker, and now the founder and driving force behind three nationally renowned social impact startups! She was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2022 Iconic Women of Distinction Awards, has been featured in hundreds of print and media articles globally for her work, and has experience speaking to groups ranging from 50 to 10,000 people for anything from corporate, city, college, and other government groups.

Currently, Joy and her husband and two daughters are working on a social enterprise startup creating patent-pending personal safety smart cosmetics products that will be on the market any day now! Not only is Esoes Cosmetics a first of its kind product, it’s also backed by an all-female group of angel investors. Cal is currently the founder and CEO of a company called Paper Crane Factory, a venture studio and accelerator based in Seattle. He has a unique background as a writer and multi-time founder, with a distinct passion for out-of-the-box marketing, which was the driving force behind his previous company–Wexley School for Girls (NOT a school for girls, but a marketing agency!) Wexley specialized in more than traditional marketing; they were responsible for some of the most epic one-off experiential and experimental advertising campaigns well-loved brands have deployed to create raving fans. Think 16 foot refrigerators in the middle of a city center with a rock band inside singing about Darigold’s “better butter”, parades of people flocking the streets of Seattle for the Sounders, and more.

His personal experience in having FUN with business, knowing when to pivot, and starting and growing well-known companies and brands gives us the chance to learn so many nuggets of gold from him, so don’t miss out! Check out his LinkedIn here.
