Join leaders from InHuevation, The National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE) and The National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) for a conversation on how digital health and technology impact health equity in the Chicago innovation ecosystem and beyond.

Gyasi Chisley, PMP, FACHE, managing director and head of corporate healthcare at PNC, will open the program with an overview of the current state of the healthcare landscape. Philip Burton, founder of InHuevation, will then moderate the panel discussion, with panelists James Lott, PharmD, MPP, founder and CEO of Script Health, and Luis Suarez, founder and CEO of Sanarai.

Come together with diverse founders, healthcare executives, investors, providers and students to discuss how to address disparities in outcomes, funding and access to care. There will be time for questions from the audience.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Philip Burton

Founder, InHuevation

Philip Burton began his career in healthcare as a pharmaceutical sales representative, cultivating his skills at industry giants, such as Bayer, Lilly and Novartis. He then transitioned into the medical device sector, contributing his expertise to Roche Diagnostics and Abbott. His journey continued into hospital administration roles at Advocate Health and Riverside Medical Center, where he gained invaluable insights into healthcare operations.

In recent years, Philip dedicated himself to healthcare consulting, focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), as well as talent management for renowned firms like WittKieffer and DHR Global. Over the past five to six years, he has provided coaching and consulting services to numerous healthcare startups, playing a pivotal role in their growth and success.

Philip’s multifaceted expertise encompasses facilitating focus groups, participating as a conference speaker at events, such as Becker’s, the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) and the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NAHLE). He has guided multiple startups in raising capital, supported their business development efforts, conducted pitch deck reviews and offered consultation on concise and clear messaging and value proposition strategies.

Additionally, Philip has been instrumental in making key introductions and facilitating meetings for startups with large health systems, leveraging his extensive network in the healthcare industry. He currently serves as an advisor to a venture fund and is renowned for his role as a connector, particularly advocating for diverse founders and providing essential resources to support their entrepreneurial journeys.

Gyasi Chisley, PMP, FACHE

Managing Director & Head of Corporate Healthcare, PNC

Gyasi C. Chisley, PMP, FACHE is the managing director and the head of corporate healthcare specialty industry for PNC Bank where he leads the strategic growth of PNC’s penetration into all sectors within the healthcare industry. In partnership with PNC’s local market model and team of expert relationship managers, Gyasi will establish a deep network across the country to enhance the differentiating value that the bank brings to its healthcare clientele while aligning the PNC portfolio and product offerings to healthcare trends.

Gyasi has more than 25 years of experience within the healthcare industry and has led many health systems, health plans and investment ventures. Functioning as a senior executive in various markets, Gyasi has served throughout government, private and Fortune 500 companies. Gyasi’s experience runs the gamut from nearly every healthcare industry sector to investment strategy to teaching and public speaking at several universities surrounding healthcare concepts.

As president and CEO, Gyasi has led many health systems in Atlanta, GA (now WellStar), New York, NY (formerly Catholic Medical Centers), Cincinnati, OH (UC Health and Mercy Health), Memphis, TN (Methodist Healthcare) and a national cancer network in multiple metropolitan areas (Cancer Treatment Centers of America). In every role, Gyasi has been able to establish considerable growth, forge significant partnerships, institute strong financial stability and authenticate high quality and clinical acumen.

James Lott, PharmD, MPP

Founder and CEO, Script Health

Dr. James Lott, PharmD., MPP, is founder and CEO of Script Health. Script Health creates Scripted, a marketplace that connects patients in need of acute, non-urgent care to local pharmacy providers. James has over a decade of experience in the pharmacy setting serving as a former pharmacy manager.

As one of the leading experts in the pharmacy industry, James is passionate about leveraging technology to expand access to healthcare services.​

Luis Suarez

Founder and CEO, Sanarai

Luis Suarez is the founder and CEO of Sanarai, a company focused on improving the Latinx community’s access to high-quality mental health services. Luis is originally from Mexico City and came to the U.S. to pursue his MBA at Duke University. He met his wife, Jen, at Duke and got married on March 14, 2020, right when everyone started to realize the implications of the pandemic. The week of the wedding was very stressful, and Luis decided to look for mental health support upon coming back to Chicago. Luis struggled to find someone that could speak Spanish and fit his schedule, so he decided to launch Sanarai in the middle of the pandemic to increase the Latinx community’s access to high-quality mental health resources. Luis is an engineer by training and worked as a management consultant at Kearney for three years before launching Sanarai.
