ABOUT THE FACULTY:

Nioura Ghazni is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP’s San Francisco office and is a member of the firm’s healthcare industry team. Nioura represents for-profit and non-profit hospitals and health systems and a diverse group of technology companies on strategic transactions. She has extensive experience in the areas of corporate and securities law, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and strategic affiliations. With more than a decade of business and transactional experience, Nioura brings a depth of diverse transactional knowledge to her counsel role and is sought after for her creativity in structuring transactions. A significant portion of Nioura’s practice is focused in healthcare, digital health and technology.

Stephanie Zeppa is a partner in the Corporate & Securities Group in Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP’s San Francisco office. She is a leader of the firm’s emerging companies and venture capital team. Her corporate expertise spans businesses in a variety of industries including software and information technology, life sciences and healthcare and food and beverage. Nationally recognized as a leading venture capital and M&A lawyer, Chambers USA’s Guide to Leading Lawyers noted Stephanie is described by clients as “a very solid ally on your team,” “a very logical and fast thinker” and “an excellent negotiator” with a “broad understanding of issues.”

Alexander Lazar is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP’s New York office and is a leader of the firm’s emerging company & venture capital team and the blockchain & fintech team. Alex provides legal and strategic guidance to clients in the fintech, software, internet/mobile, digital media, ecommerce, advertising and marketing, healthcare and biotech industries. Alex advises clients on a range of matters from startup through IPO, including company formation and founder matters; seed, angel, venture capital, growth equity and other capital raising transactions; mergers and acquisitions; technology and brand licensing; and other complex commercial transactions, including joint ventures, development, collaboration and consulting arrangements.
