Office has been at the forefront of embracing and deploying AI at scale to millions of users, including designers, editors, data analysts, coaches, and more, and helped them be more productive and uncover the rich depth of Office experiences. Sumit will share her journey and learnings in this talk.

Gail Giacobbe serves as Vice President in the Office Product Group, where she leads a team of product managers, content managers, UX designers, engineers and data scientists developing AI-powered solutions to deliver new value to Microsoft 365 customers. Her portfolio includes Microsoft Designer, a new graphic design app that helps people create stunning designs in a flash, as well as the Office graphics platform, asset, and template collection.

Prior to this, Gail spent several years at GoDaddy as Vice President of Product where she led their mobile offering and drove improvements to the logged-in customer experience, resulting in significant gains in customer retention and renewal rates. Earlier in her career, she led various product teams at Microsoft including Skype, Outlook, and SharePoint. Gail has a proven record of accomplishment incubating new v1 offerings, using agile, data-informed innovation to find product-market fit, and guiding products through scaled growth.

Gail is a public board director at Heritage Financial Services (HFWA) and a nonprofit board director at JFS Seattle. From 2019-2022, she was on the Seattle University Data Science program advisory board.

Gail holds a Master’s in education from Brown University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.
